The World Ballet Competition is geared towards professionally oriented dancers and is open to Individuals and/or Ensembles of ALL nationalities; granted that they comply with all rules and regulations of the World Ballet Competition. The 2025 World Finals will take place from June 16-21, 2025 in Orlando, Florida, USA.

Each competitor is screened via Video Audition, prior to being accepted to compete in Orlando, in order to maintain the quality and prestige of the World Ballet Competition. A select panel of judges will view the submitted material and will recruit all dancers who qualify to be in the competition. Judgment will be based on talent, technique, execution, musicality and artistry.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

Applications will be accepted beginning November 15, 2024 through March 5, 2025. Audition fees are non-refundable and viewing materials are non-returnable.

APPLICATION FEE

There is an application fee of $50 U.S. Dollars per soloist or group piece. All fees are final and non-refundable.

VIDEO REQUIREMENTS

All dancers should be filmed in either a rehearsal or a performance. Applicants may use a costume or class attire (with no additional accessories). If sending a video from a performance, the video must only feature the applicant(s) of the World Ballet Competition or applicant may send a video from another recent dance competition. Viewing material must be filmed within approximately 8 months prior to the competition date. Edited and/or altered viewing material will not be considered. Applicant must provide most recent video available.

Applicants in each category must film the following number of solos and submit with their Video Audition Application. All solos filmed are recommended to be selected from the WBC 2025 Classical Ballet Repertoire List for your category (Note: If you do not have a solo from the Repertoire List ready at this time, you can submit a variation that is not on the list).

INDIVIDUAL CATEGORIES

Number of Solos Required for Video Audition

Introductory Category (age 9-11): Film 1 Ballet Solo (female dancers may be on flat or pointe)

Preparatory Category (age 12-13): Film 1 Ballet Solo (female dancers must be on pointe)

Pre-Professional Category (age 14-15): Film 1 Ballet Solo (female dancers must be on pointe)

Professional Category (age 16-24): Film 1 Ballet Solo (female dancers must be on pointe)

GROUP CATEGORY

Required for Video Audition

Ensemble Category (age 9-24): Film 1 Group Piece in the dance style of either ballet, neo–classical, modern, character/folklore, jazz, or lyrical.

APPLICATION FAQ'S

*Incomplete Applications will NOT be sent to the Judging Panel. If your application is missing an item, you will be notified by WBC Staff and your application will only be submitted when all items have been received.

*Waiting List FAQ: Applicants placed on the Waiting List will be notified via email. An applicant's position on the Waiting List is not provided. Please be aware that if you receive notification of acceptance, the registration fees will be due immediately to secure your place in the competition. Applicants may be accepted from the Waiting List from March 5 - 31 if a spot becomes available.
